A poster that I created that is currently in an art show but not for sale - to educate people that there are early warning signs for Ovanian Cancer.
From my personal knowledge of being cancer free for 16 years, I was not in a high risk group - some problems with heartburn but nothing was found on any tests. I always kept antacids at my side - this went on for a few months.
Fortunately, my gynecologist was extremely proactive and saw some changes that caused him to take action - the CA125 blood test along with an ultrasound. I still can hear those words from my physician - "I don't have good news for you - I want you to see an oncologist"!
At the age of 42, with children to think of, I scheduled surgery - then chemotherapy, then radiation (they also found a separate Uterine cancer) - 2 separate primary cancers - the cancers had not spread but were found to be extremely aggressive.
So - listen for the signs that whisper - if you feel something is wrong, pursue it - FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!
